The Devine Waters was the second studio album I produced and took it's title from our convenient surnames. My first album, P.L.A.Y. had been fairly off the wall and wasn't reflecting what we were playing live in our collaboration with Pete. I wanted to give audiences a chance to buy a more conventional recording. That was probably a mistake in hindsight, and I lost my way creatively, a little at this time, trying to give audiences what I imagined they wanted. There is still some pretty 'Off the wall' stuff snuck in here. I particularly like my synth solo at the end of 'Slip on By', and the audio sleve notes are possibly some of the most interesting stuff I've done. For me.
The album features several of Pete's original songs that I am delighted to have recorded here.
Pete sadly passed away in 2015 following a protracted illness and we still miss him everyday.
